They say time seems to go faster as you get older and I know that if there was a mathematical formula I would be pretty old! Where has 2017 gone?

Anyway, our thoughts are already turning towards 2018 and we are working hard on making sure our clients are ready for the introduction of GDPR in May. Page 2 of the newsletter explains why we think this might be a big deal for employers.

In addition to GDPR we foresee recruitment being even more challenging in 2018 and the uncertainty around Brexit is not making it any easier. We are working with clients to increase the odds of finding the best candidates so please speak to Eve on how we can help you.

We have also included a roundup of interesting tribunal cases that may not have made the national press but that have implications for employers.

2017 might have been fast! But we have been busier than ever and Eve and I are pleased to welcome Carly Alliband to the team. Carly is an ACCA qualified accountant but is currently studying for her HR professional qualifications.

She will be working with our clients on GDPR so if you are interested in learning more I know she will be delighted to speak with you.

Wishing you a happy and prosperous 2018.
